Trusting God is not Enough

I grew up hearing people say “heaven helps those who help themselves”. In as much as I don’t believe in such statement because it lacks scriptural basis, I still believe trusting God is not enough.

A lot of people believe that there’s a God out there who holds all the power on His hands and can do anything whenever He chooses to. Some even take a step further and have convinced themselves that He loves them enough to even lay down His life for them and that whenever they call on Him, He’ll answer them. As cool as that sounds, it is still not good enough

Now before you begin to throw your religious stones on my fragile bones, this is what I have to say….

We need to go beyond the stage of trusting the reality and power of God and the undying love He has for us. We need to come to the point where we begin to trust His plan. We need to understand that God has a master plan. A plan too big that our human minds can’t comprehend. A plan that He alone knows in details.

It was a great life-changing revelation to me when I got to realize that I am part of this plan and that’s what He’s telling you today through my mouth – “You are part of the plan”.

It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through, what you are going through right now or what you would go through; as long as you are with Him, you have nothing to worry about. You are probably at a different phase of the plan than you were a while ago. Just let Him do His thing and be excited about what He’s going to do next because it is all for your good.

One thing I know very well about God is that He doesn’t joke with His plan so you would do yourself a lot of good to find a way to deal with it.

Love God enough to trust Him and go through with His plan. Then sooner you let Him have His way, the better for you
